With the advent of COVID, elements of the Owls Who and Owls Save programs were incorporated into the Daytime Education at Recreation or DEAR program at Penfield Recreation.  The DEAR program is a much more extensive program for older adults incorporating senior lecture series, ongoing educational events, exercise programs, lunchtime lectures and much more.

Information on the remaining elements providing discounts in the Owls Who and Owls Who Save programs are password restricted and accessible by members only.

Owls Who and Owls Who Save were programs started by in the early 2000's to encourage participation by older adults in programs at Penfield Recreation.

Owls Who and Owls Who Save initially concentrated on senior lecture programs and in providing savings and discounts for items and programs typically utilized by seniors - travel (including hotels and rental cars), laptop purchases, flowers, and more.
